Performed as an outpatient procedure, the available rhinoplasty procedures include open nose surgery, standard rhinoplasty, and tip-plasty. In the open technique, incisions are made across the columella for better visibility of the nasal structure. The standard method entails incisions made on the internal portion of the nostrils and Dr. Krau is able to work on the bones, cartilage, and soft tissue. Those who are only concerned with the nasal tip may be better-suited for the tip-plasty technique. Also, if breathing difficulties are present due to deviation of the septum, Dr. Krau may perform deviated septum rhinoplasty.
